It is said that “Precepts for Child” is a family letter written by Zhuge Liang, the Grand Chancellor of the State of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period, to his son Zhuge Zhan. The letter exhorts his son to study diligently, cultivate his moral character, and refrain from being impatient. A rather short but powerful letter, in it you find Zhuge Liang’s earnest teachings and high hopes for his son.
